Noooooo silly The Hatbox Ghost is an old character from the Haunted Mansion. He appeared in the attic scene. The gag was that his head would actually disappear from his shoulders and reappear inside the hatbox, and then vice-versa. They couldn’t quite get it to work, though, so they removed it a few weeks after the Mansion opened. But he’s gone down in Disney lore and kind of has a cult following. He’s a lot of people’s favorite character from the Haunted Mansion, even if he doesn’t really exist any more. Hopefully they’ll be able to put him in some day when they have the technology to make the gag work.
